Anti- Squee

FI's best friend who WAS the best man just told us that he won't be at the wedding at all. I feel awful for FI.

I don't know how my interview went, but I feel stressed about it.

I want cake but it's not in my diet.

I'm grumpy.

Big hugs to your FI.  This whole ordeal saddens my heart.

I am sure you kicked butt at the interview.  After interviews, I try to tell myself that I did what I could and now it is out of my hands.  Sometimes it works.

Eat the cake!  I am making red velvet cupcakes in a bit.  I am going to take them over to our new house tonight to celebrate.  MIL, SFIL, FIL and SMIL are all meeting us there to see it before we start the gutting.

My anti-squee...  it is HOT already.  I am scared for the summer.  I wil spending a ton of time in the pool.  And I've almost lost my belly button.  It is thisclose to popping.

: ( Big hugs Hetshup. I'm sorry things are crappy.

Eat the cake. You won't regret it. Yesterday I had a hot fudge sundae for lunch, and it was totally worth ignoring my "rules".

I'm sure you rocked your interview. And that you looked hawt.

**HUGS Hetshup** That is so sad I am sorry to hear that for you and your FI.

Eat the cake , just not all of it , just remind yourself it is okay to treat yourself :)

I bet you did awesome at the interview ! I know it's hard to sit and wait , so try to fill up your time by doing something positive for you - take a hot bath or shower , pamper yourself , turn up music annoyingly loud and sing - it helps me , don't ask me why!

Above all remember you have a great person who loves and adores you and I hope things get better fast. *hugs*

    I agree. Eat the cake.

How long will it be before you find out if you got the job or not? I'll be sending some good vibes your way.

Darn you kat. Now I want ice cream!

P.S. Hetshup, I answered your question in my house post.  ;)

And I think I will have some mint chocolate chip ice cream RIGHT NOW.  There is no rule about not eating ice cream before noon.  Drinking, yes.  Ice cream, no rule.

Or should I have vanilla ice cream with apple pie jam?  Decisions, decisions.

Apple pie jam!! That sounds divine.

Aw, Hetshup that really stinks for FI.  I'm curious is he unable to attend or did he decline?

I think that you should have some cake... not a whole cake but a slice or a single cupcake won't hurt.  Sometimes you have to give into a craving to get it to go away... and sometimes you just really deserve a treat!

Mutley vanilla and apple pie jam sounds AMAZING!!

Lol you ladies are really not helping me with my diet!!  I have fat free fudge pops at home I might have to have one for dessert.  Have you guys ever tried skinny cow ice cream sandwiches?  If not I suggest you try the mint ones they are ususally by all of the weight watcher ice creams in the store.

I am sure you did really well on your interview I always felt stressed after an interview and I always ended up getting a call back so keep your head up and get some ice cream :)

I will know by Tuesday. It's hard b\c I know that people are interviewing that have more senority and knowledge. But I made a brochure! I'm really curious to see if anyone else made anything.

FI is fine with the whole friend thing, but I'm so mad at him. Friend not FI, it's just BS.

Maybe I will have cake. Or I could make jiffy corn bread. Really, I just want to eat the batter.

I am immune to ice cream discussions. I don't know why.

I want to kick the friend.  He needs a swift kick in the pants.

I have had skinny cow ice cream sandwhiches. They are quite delicious. However, I do prefer the Target, Market Pantry brand better. To me they taste a lot better. I am keeping those in my freezer to try to prevent me from going to dairy queen throughout the summer.

At least you'll know something one way or the other in a few days and its not a few weeks. Making a brochure. To me that shows some motivation. I have never made anything for an interview before.

His friend needs more than a swift kick.

At least you only have to wait until Tuesday to find out.  What did you end up wearing?

I made cornbread this morning.  In fact, it was Jiffy.  So delicious fresh out of the oven with some butter.  What kind of cake do you have?  This is important for the sake of the decision on what to eat.

Apple pie jam is made at a local farm.  It is literally apple pie in a jar.  Heat some up in a bowl and put a scoop of ice cream on top.  Magic!

I wound up wearing a red linen double breasted dress with a khaki jacket from Brooks Brothers with camel suede wedges. At home I have the yellow cake mix(jiffy, I love jiffy) that I can add chocolate to make chocolate cake, I also have mexican chocolate cake, which has cinnamon in it. And pecans on top. There is FINALLY room in my freezer to put the ice cream bowl in, so I am planning on making sweet cream ice cream. It's half and half and sugar, no redeeming qualities. I have a frozen loaf of bread too, maybe I'll make bread pudding this weekend.

Also, we had a insane storm last night, completely horizontal rain with hail and power outage and all, so now my tomatoes are all raggedy looking.

Thanks for listening to my grumpiness.

I 'd sucker punch him in the teefs.

Dont worry about your interview. After everyone I usually overanalyze and the more I think about it, the more disheartened I am that I didn't get the job. After 2 weeks, I was almost sure I didn't get my job I have now. Keep your head up.

I'd like some birthday cake with vanilla ice cream, any kind of cake will do.

    MMM...cornbread and butter..omg..now I want some !

It's understandable why you are so annoyed Hetshup - FI's best man kinda grinds on me at times about certain things but at least he is reliable.

That apple jam sounds heavenly , I am so jealous right now..but the fact I just did my weigh in for the week and I am down 5 lbs helps me resist the urge to be bad lol.

Aww *hugs* Actually FI and I have both been losing weight , His is more noticeable than me but we haven't done too much ( stupid work keeps me so busy finding time to work out has been rare) , but we actually started taking Alli to help , and it has worked. It's not a diet pill , but more weight loss aid , helps block from absorbing so much fat , etc. Worth a shot if you are really stressing over it :)

Treat yourself to something you love that is more friendly than cake , I'm sure there is something :)

Hetshup... maybe zucchini bread?  It's cinnamony and yummy but has lots of fiber and healthiness too... if you add nuts it has protein and good fats too!

Man, I'm sorry to hear about the friend...did he give a reason?

I'm super-impressed that you can fit into the dress you wore for your high school graduation... you deserve a few slices of cake for that one!

My "I'm chubbier than usual, but I want to splurge" treat is frozen yogurt with a big heap of raspberries on top. Or, strawberries dipped in Nutella. I put the Nutella in the microwave for a few seconds to make it all gooey. Both delicious... and not toooo bad, because it's mostly fruit. Not quite cake batter, but one of those may help you to get through this non-squee moment.

So sorry to hear about your anti-squee :(  Eat the damn cake, sounds like you need it!

Side note, I was completely immune to the whole cake/ice cream/apple pie jam (which does sound amazing) conversations but as soon as someone mentioned jiffy cornbread batter, I wanted that immediately.... strange?

musix-- the reason is a huge clusterf*ck. Lets just say if he was doing coke like he says he is, that would explain so much.

Gah, how frustrating! It would be slightly more excusable if he was being sent to Antarctica to study penguins, or to take care or orphans in Uganda, or something like that.

I was ok w/all the food talk until the apple pie in a jar.
Mutley I hope you have a spare room for me to come live in.

Hetshup - bask in the fanciness of your ottoman, that should make everything better.
