Scrabble is one of FI and I's favorite games... we usually play it with my MOH and her husband when we hang out.

Me and DF are 31. he's an older soul  but i still feel like i'm 25. I don't really go out to party any more unless it's for someone's birthday or celebration of some sort but i also don't really have the desire anymore either. Although, i was still able to hang at the black jack table with my free cocktails til 5:30 am in Vegas last weekend. We won't talk about the miserable hang-over drive home the next day though. haha

I am 26 and SO is 30... I feel my age most days but am told on a consistant basis that I look 18... yesterday I got carded for a lotto ticket... but I find for the most part the saying "you'll like looking so young when you're older" is starting to take effect.

I want to be one of the people who turn 100 and when someone asks me my secret I say "a lot of love and a glass of wine" because at the end of the day, those are the things that I like to go home to..

If playing board games instead of going clubbing means you're old, my boyfriend and I should have applied for AARP years ago!

If you're looking for a good game, try Rummikube.  We could (and do) play that for hours upon hours!

This!  And Arkham Horror.  Ooooooo Arkham Horror.  <3

FI and I are both 28.  I like to think we act it most of the time.  We're both professionals in our area, so by day we probably could pass for 28-33 (people assume those in suits are older).  By night and on the weekends, we dress down and wear jeans(me)/cargo pants(him) and t-shirts, and probably could mix pretty well with most of the college students around town.  I often get carded if we go out at night, as does he, but we very rarely go out.  We're nerds, and we stay at home and play nerd games and work on LARP stuff and play with the dogs.  While our appearance may let us mingle with the college set, our mindset is no where near that anymore.

Jeana and Zip, our goddaughter turns 2 on Aug. 24.  :-)  It's a wonderful day!

Late to the party, but a 21-year-old is here. (22 in September.)

I honestly only feel 19 or so, because I let issues take hold of me throughout high school and it didn't allow me to mature normally, and I feel like just now I'm ready to start taking on adulthood.

But Scrabble and cupcakes /> getting wasted and acting like an idiot.

I'm making 22 in 15 days! It's funny because my mom and I were talking about this the other day & I told her that I feel like my life is passing me by. Like many of you I don't really like to party, I rather chill at home with a good movie/tv show & a glass of wine. At the same time sometimes I have the energy of a 7 year old and I just want to burst into spontaneous dance or take a run around the park. FI is 28 and he's the same as me: uber mellow yet sparks of young.

    p.s. I LOVE SCRABBLE!

23 and BF will be 27 next month.  I think I feel a lot older than I am just because all my friends my age are very immature.  I also have a lot of people that think I'm older than I really am because of how I act and carry myself.  I've even had people tell me, "wow, you look young for your age" but they think I look 22 or 23.  They are always surprised to find out that I actually AM 23 and just act older.

I also am not the big partier.  Last Friday I actually went out and had a couple beers...at an ice skating rink...with our dive shop.  But that's about as much as I do nowadays.

Why is being young associated with partying? Just like a lot of the girls that are younger on here I've never really been into partying. Maybe its just part of the dynamics of this board though.

Well, I grew up in a town where a typical Friday/Saturday night was spent getting wasted in the woods or in the basement of whomever's house had absent parents. Getting wasted is just what kids around that age do here. If you don't, you're "weird."

In the woods? That sounds kinda scary.

So, the game BF's family likes to play is Canasta. Of course BF has started teaching me. I always associated Canasta with elderly Jewish ladies who've retired to Florida.  <a href="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/11/11/4bc51ff8-637f-4a07-8b27-fb1281f4cbe6.large.gif" title="Click to view a larger photo" onclick="return gSiteLife.LoadForumPage('ForumImage', 'plckPhotoId', '4bc51ff8-637f-4a07-8b27-fb1281f4cbe6', 'plckRedirectUrl', gSiteLife.EscapeValue(window.location.href));" class="PhotoLink"><img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/11/11/4bc51ff8-637f-4a07-8b27-fb1281f4cbe6.medium.gif" alt="" /></a>

I'll be 26 on the 22nd of Aug, BF has been 26 since Feb. I feel like we act our age for the most part, in that we're both mature, responsible adults. On the other hand, we tend to have younger friends since we're both still in school (I'm working on my 2nd BA, and he took a few years out of high school to decide what he wanted to do before going to college)...sooo, we do like to go out and have a beer or two, etc. We also both still get carded (which I mostly just love!)

But I agree that boards games /> parties (wayyyy too old for partying, never that into it anyway). At the same time I'd love to think that I've kept a childlike sense of wonder (read: overly energetic & very silly at times) and I'll often drag my BF out to "play outside" or run around in the rain, etc. Immature in a beautiful way, right?? ;)

LOL It kind of is. I live smack dab in the middle of a very rural area, all we have is woods! What they do is drive a car into the woods and turn it on so they can have light/music. Totally rad </sarcasm />

I just turned 32 and FI will be 32 in November. Most days I consider my age just a number - I feel much younger and though I have good and bad days I try to not let ir affect me and my life day in day out. According to society I should have my career , degrees , married and 2 kids , or something like it. I have none of the above and I play to the beat of my own drum. Everything in it's time ;)
