Everything I have heard about Spanx is amazing. I have tried all sorts of shapers , even have a Slim N Lift - that infomercial one from a few years back and while that works awesome I need something longer , like the one you posted Jeter being the full slip for my eventual wedding dress and plan on purchasing one before I start wedding dress shopping next month or in July.

On tanning - I am not super pale but I do worry that white or even ivory will wash me out but I really hate tanning places. If I do anything probably would be airbrushed as I have heard good things and seen results first hand..but I doubt I will even go that route unless I really feel I need to.

I tan very easily, and that is not always a good thing because I still have very definite tan lines from last summer that I can't seem to get rid of even trying to fake bake, so I would deffinetly try to spray tan thing, you will have to let us all know how it goes.

Wow that was a runon sentence.

I LOVE Spanx!  I have a few Spanx products.  I like their tummy tucking tights as well as their body shapers for my tummy and legs.  All of their products are great and really high quality, totally worth the price!

I would go for tanning cream.  I have heard Jerkins and Aveeno have good ones!  Good luck!

I cannot tan - I am at high risk for skin cancer and have to go to the derm every 3 months for check ups! So, I have plenty of experience in fake tanning with lotions and spray tans.

Dove is my number 1 recommendation, by Jergens works well also. You can buy the sunless tanner lotions, either Dove or Jergens, that are also skim firming lotions, so double work there! I do recommend spray tans, I have had 2 from Hollywood Tans and have not looked orange, but actually tan (and I am VERY pale and with blotchy, Irish skin). My best advice for the Hollywood Tans spray tan is to exfoliate and shave before having it done. After the spray tan, let is dry fully and wash your hands very well. Most importantly - have it 2 days before your wedding. You will look unrealistically tan, as if you just came back from you tropical honeymoon the first day. But on the 2nd and 3rd day you will have a nice, natural glow that gives you a great tan :)

    Now you've got me thinking....

Is it better to get the kind with "legs" or not? I feel like the skirt bottom would be easier.

    Hmm hmm hmm...

Not sure how to put this delicately...I believe there is an opening "down there" so you don't HAVE to remove the entire thing to use the restroom.

But then again, no one wants pee-soaked Spanx under her wedding dress, so....

Disclaimer: This may gross you out.

When we were at swim meets, we would just.... pull the suit to the side. It worked like a charm and you didn't have to take the whole wet suit off.

So I never ever post, AND I'm a little late but I figured I would put in my two sense. I think the spray tan is a really good idea. I have been getting sprayed once every two weeks for about six months now. You will FOR SURE want to try it before the wedding because there are a few things you can do to lighten it up or darken it based on how it reacts with your skin. Definitely exfoliate the night before and make sure your skin has no lotions or deodorant on it right before you get the spray tan. (It can affec the way the solution adheres to your skin) It will be a bit dark the day after, but I usually look best on like day two or three and so do most of the other girls that I know who do it as well.

As far as it staining your dress, one of my friends got sprayed the day before her wedding and she did not have any issues with it rubbing off. It will, however, rub off on things that are REALLY tight like a bra. The good news is that most solutions come out in a regular washer so I would ask before you get sprayed.

Yeah, when I was in gymnastics and dance I just pulled my leotard to the side.

Awesome - thanks for the feedback Eight.  Since I'll be getting it done like 3 days in advance it's sounding like it shoud be fine.  But yes, I'm definitly going to do a trial run.
