Decorating Ceremony Space

I am at a loss on how to decorate our Ceremony Site! I dont want anything super fancy but i feel like it is too boring without something. I found some cute ideas on pinterest for using tule in our wedding colors to wind through our chairs but that wont work with the style of the ceremony chairs!!
Anyway here is our Ceremony Site, I would appreciate any decorating tips!!!!

Thanks!!!

Re: Decorating Ceremony Space

  • I wasn't wild about our ceremony space either, but after talking to our florist, I felt much better.  He recommended getting palm plants or a some sorts of trees at Home Depot.  They have really good prices on these types of plants.  He's going to strategically place them around the room.  We're having three columns with flowers at the "altar".  One will be placed behind us, the other two on each sides.  Both have very tall arrangements.  There will also be rose petals lining the isle.

  • What are your wedding colors?

  • Our wedding colors are Red and Black. I don't want to do alot of decorating, because our ceremony will probably be about 15 minutes so theres no use in going over the top on decorating but i feel like i should at least do something to jazz it up a little bit! Here is the idea I found on pinterest that i liked but wont work with the chairs.

  • I found a great website that provides inspiration images of ceremony spaces and where to purchase the products to make it happen. Check it out and hope it helps you!

  • janegoodey - apparently you missed the pesky little part of the terms of service where vendors arent allowed to advertise on the boards.  How can you trust a vendor who can't follow rules?  All of your posts advertise the website in your post.

  • Your space looks fine.  Maybe a wedding arch to stand under, but not much.

  • how about tying sashes around the chair back
  • I agree with the keep it simple idea. I think a crisp white aisle runner will improve it greatly. If the ceremony is more toward the evening why not get some large hurricanes, like 8 in wide and 18 inches tall, to place thick pillar candles in; then you can set them up on the upper half of the aisle (closest to the platform) at every other chair aisle to create a soft glow and transform the platform from less of a utilitarian piece... you can even do some more hurricanes at the base so it totally blocks the platform front view... all your guest would see would be candles. Thats a cheap fix if you head to homegoods or tjmaxx, etc and set it up yourself. I think anyhting else like full on chair covers, tulle bows, potted flower arragements, crazy flower arches will just be too much and take the spotlight off you!
