  • Why oh why do beebees think their engagement = every idea they ever had is brilliant? It's a RING, people!

Oh, and I'm not some bitter hag (maybe I am).  I'm happily married to my DH, followed the advice I got on TK boards, and have never looked back.  You might think about doing it, too.

[QUOTE]I have to say that I'm a newbie who was told this site was suportive and full of people that helped you along the way. qtt , it was quickly obvious to me that most of the people who felt it necessary to be unwarantedly cynical , rude , or condescending have been on here for years, have finished planning their weddings, and now feel they can say what they want to whom they want. I realized the same 3-5 women find it necessary to make rude comments on EVERY thing. There's a big difference between stating your opinion and being rude and unfortunately it's not a lesson everyone on these boards has been privy to. I suggest you stop interacting with them because like the old addage says "When you argue with a fool from a distance no one can tell who is who" (luckily we can on the boards) I'm sure some of you will have a sarcasm field day with this and to you I say have fun!

    hmm, nope, not married.

I'm not sarcastic about everything, none of us are (well, maybe cew :P) but really, theres lots of good advice around here. Just don't be a whiny brat and youre fine.

  • To preserve my faith in humanity, I'm going to pretend that Ovaltine and drunky are actually performance artists, and the transcript of this thread will go into some surrealist gallery installation.  That's the only way this makes sense and you can't tell me any different, dammit.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • This thread needs to die.

But not that koala- squee! He is cute.

People have told me if I was an animal, I would be a koala.  I don't know if that's a compliment or not.

  • I'm kinda new to the message boards myself, and I've also noticed that the people who post the most have a tendency to be "overly opinionated". Don't get me wrong. I think honesty is great, and I agree that it's not ok to blow roses up people's asses. We should all be here for honest opinions, like some of you are saying.

That being said, in my short time here, I've seen regular posters call newbies "Stupid" "idiots" and I don't even know what else. If you disagree, just say so. If they break a rule, just point them in the direction of the stickies. And you're done.

Overall, most girls on here are awesome and honest at the same time. Sarcasm and name calling to someone you don't know is unneccesary.

I don't mean to cause trouble, I just think some of the regular posters should be aware of how they come across.
