We did 4.5 hours.  That covered getting ready at my house (so not at the salon) until dinner and cake cutting, etc.  She stayed closer to 5 hours and she missed parent dances.  Luckily we have a photographer friend who took care of it for us.  I think 6 hours is good because you really don't want 200+ pictures of people dancing, do you?  HTH!

I am doing 7 hours, but some of that will be of getting ready.  I am figuring she may not be there the last hour, but my videographer will be there just in case there is anything being missed.

I think we did 6.  It was a good amount, they came to the salon while we were getting ready and stayed til after all the important things at the reception.

Our photographer includes unlimited hours in her package.  My estimated start time was really early (about 4 hours before the ceremony starts), but she includes unlimited locations so I thought it might be neat to have her at a pre-wedding brunch with our WP (and pay for her food, of course).  We're also really slow to get ready though, and we're taking care of all of our formal pictures before the ceremony.

If we don't change her arrival time (which is a pretty big "if") I estimate she'll be with us for 8-9 hours.  I believe 8 is pretty standard for bigger photography packages.

Our photographer includes 8 hours in his package, but our venue is an hour away, so I think that includes travel time.  So, deducting for travel time, I think we'll get about 6 hours of total photography time at the venue.

Our package is for 6 hours.  They will meet us at our venue to take getting ready pictures and stay through the end of our reception.

We were pretty unlimited with our photog, but we used the extra time to record the events prior to the wedding (salon, getting ready, the guys... etc) since we knew on the other end we wouldn't want 8 million dancing guest photos.  Unless you're staging some type of grand exit from your reception venue, you probably don't need to keep the photographers there for the whole time.  :)

I think we have 6 hours with ours and our videographer is there from the time we get ready until the end of the reception.

I still want extra time with the photographer but I guess the videographer said he can do some still frames of the video if anything exciting happens.

We're doing 6, as suggested by our photog.  I agree with others, some photos of guests are good, but I don't need a thousand.  I think 8 hours seems like a lot!
