The main strategy of the pill is to prevent ovulation. It also thickens cervical mucous, which makes it harder for fertilization to occur IF an egg was released. Finally, the pill decreases the thickening of the uterine wall so there's nothing for a fertilized egg to stick to, IF an egg gets released and IF sperm can get through the thickened cervical mucous.  The thinner uterine wall lining is the reason that women on the pill often experience a much lighter period. The morning after pills are more aimed at stopping implantation of a fertilized egg.

There are MANY reasons why individuals choose to have children versus adoption. If they want to have children of their own DNA, then so be it.

Do you know how much it costs to adopt? Do you know the process behind adoptions, the classes, the checks and balances of the whole ordeal? Plus not to mention that it takes a long time for the process to go through.

I'm not saying that I'm against adoption by any means. I'm all for adoption myself and if we can't have children myself, this is the route we'll go. However it's not for everyone.

If it enrages you so much, start taking classes on being an adoptive parent and do it yourself. Why one earth would you let someone else's business enrage you is beyond me. Your statement seems rather ridiculous in my opinion.
