How Should the MOH Stand Out?

My sister is my MOH and we both want her dress to stand out from the other girls... but I'm thinking a different length or color would just look strange in my very small bridal party. I'm considering just letting all the girls pick their own dress in the same length and color and ensuring the other two BMs don't pick the same style as my sister. Is that enough?

  • Since its a small bridal party why don't you have her carry a different bouquet.  Just a thought :)
  • I think the fact that she's standing closest to you makes her stand out enough. But if you want something different how about different earrings or a different necklace or something?

Ditto the part about her standing next to you. I've also seen an MOH wear a sash or under skirt in a different color, where the skirt hangs a couple inches below the dress hem. When I was a BM a few years ago, we all wore black shoes and the MOH wore pink shoes.

  • What if she wears the same dress but with a sash in your accent color?
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Ditto Meganb1977.. that's what my sister is doing as MOH, but her dress has a ribbon that can be made into an accent color, so she is wearing this.
