PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Need a gown

I am only 4 feet and 11 inches and between 99 to 105 lb. Haven't weighed myself lately Everywhere I have visited bridal gowns are way to big. With being on an extremely tight budget I can not afford the money everyone has quote to me. All places are saying I would have to get an custom alteration. Is there any place that sells petite dresses other than David bridals? If you have any suggestion please feel free to comment.

Oh, that's awful! I don't know of particular places, but I would think that any good tailor could take a dress in for you.

I'm 5'4" and weighed 132 on my wedding day. I'm selling my gown, if you're interested: http://bit.ly/M0ChZP. I had it taken in about a size when I bought it and it could easily be taken in quite a bit more since there is no lace or beading.

I'd definitely try some smaller, boutique shops. I've heard good thing about Amanda Richie salon.

Maybe Alfred Angelo...I looked there when I was dress shopping last year and even though I did not get my dress there they were extremely helpful and they told me every dress is custom made for you, so that should cut down on alterations needed in the end...

They have all price ranges, so maybe a good place to look into to.

You may consider a used dress which would cut down on the cost so that alterations could be done. Another option would be too look at bridesmaid dresses in white or other formal dresses from a department store. They are often just as beautiful as a traditional wedding dress. I'm assuming they will have petite sizes.

I am also 4'11 and got my dress from AA. The problem with them is they wanted to charge me $300 for a petitte gown, which I thought was ridiculous so I got the regular one and had it hemmed for $150.

Ann Taylor has wedding gowns.  They also have a petite section so you may find that all of their wedding dresses also come in petite.  This was the first dress I looked at and it came in petite sizes, clicky.  You should also try J Crew, who also has a bridal section and sells petite sizes.

And as PP said, depending on the cut of the gown, it may be cheaper to get it in a regular size and have it hemmed.

I was told in an earlier post that Allure Bridal takes your measurements and makes their dresses in your custom size. "Hollow to hem" measurement is what it is called.

Be careful when looking for "petite" because some lines just take inches off the bottom instead of making the gown proportionately smaller. This has been a problem for me when looking for fitted gowns, but less of an issue with empire waist and A-line.

VOWS Bridal Outlet in Watertown sells high end designer samples for 50-80% off the retail price. They carry the best designers such a Vera and Monique at a fraction of the cost!

They have a website that you can browse through the selection of gowns!

    Good luck!
