Veils: urgh

Having a hard time finding a veil to go with my dress.  FI very much wants to lift the blusher, and I need a lace trimmed veil to go with my dress (pic below).   But I don't want to buy a lace veil and then just tack a piece of tulle onto it as an afterthought, I'd really prefer a 2t lace veil, and I'm having a seriously hard time finding the right KIND of lace trimmed veil...  Anyone know of any good sites to hit?Maggie, Karena Royale, needs to be in ivory

Re: Veils: urgh

• I did, they had a few ribbon-edged ones that I tried on that just looked horrendo.  Plain ones didn't look right either.  I tried on a lace-edged one in the first store I went to and it looked really great.  I'm just resisting going back there b/c I didn't like them and I am hesitant to give them any sort of business to be honest.  The bridal shope where I got my dress didn't have the right kind of lace edge that I want...  I checked online for the veil I DID like and can't find it anywhere.Worse comes to worse I'll go back to the original store and just get it but I'd like to exhaust all the options first (plus see if I can find one with the right kind of blusher first before just having to tack on some regular tulle, which I'd have to do with the first one I found)
• Have you tried Etsy?  Even if you can't find exactly what you want, an alchemy request might get you there.

• Try paging LPSTL on the P&E board she wore that dress and had a beautiful mantilla veil for it. Here is the link to her bio http://laineandpete.com/and here is the link to her wedding photos so you can see it better http://www.flickr.com/photos/lainestl/collections/72157619310071937
• http://www.saragabriel.com/ try Sara Garbriel, all the veils are customizable to any length or trim that you want. Plus they are all hand made, and lace hand applied. You can send a swatch of your dress to ensure a proper color match. GL!
• Hey budgetmama, where is that first pic you posted from? I love the detail on that veil!
• Oy Sara's veils are GORGEOUS...  I googled them though and they're pretty pricey... That's pretty much exactly what I'd be looking for though. Thanks for all the great ideas ladies!  I'm on the hunt :)
• Your dress is beautiful!Someone posted about checking out this bride's site so I did...She got her veil at Enchantment for All.  Go to http://laineandpete.com/?p=624 to see her comments.  On page 2 of her blog/page there's a pic of her in a dress that is very similar or the exact one as yours! I am debating about veils to go with my lace gown as well....I paid $5 and got a sample card from Veil Shop.com place--http://www.veilshop.com/index.html. If I order a veil, I get $5 off.  I got the site from other Knotties. You can design your own veil. I'm not sure how the prices compare, but I loved getting the sample card in the mail.Good luck!!!
• Hi, again, Sabina1313,I goofed! veilshop.com does not seem to have lace edging available for custom design.  You have to go to Specialty Veils...here are a few lace Mantilla two layers I found..http://www.veilshop.com/Bridal-Veil-V195_p_2089-1302.htmlhttp://www.veilshop.com/Bridal-Veil-V192_p_2089-1299.htmlhttp://www.veilshop.com/Bridal-Veil-V190_p_2089-1298.html
• Finally I found this post again!  I got so excited when I found this veil on bravobride.com that I had to look up your post!  Here is a link to an ivory veil, 2 tiered, $140.  It is not exactly "lace-trimmed," but it has some beautiful detailing on it that I think would look great with your dress, while not overdoing it on the lace.http://www.bravobride.com/ItemViewer.php?iid='ivory-bridal-veil-19059'Smiles!Manda
• Thanks manda!  That one in particular might not work just because it has silver beading specifically (the dress has gold in it), but I didn't know that site existed!!!  I'm looking through it now :)  So either way you helped too :)
• sure...no problem.  try a single tier mantilla and wear it as a drop veil...your groom will get to lift the front part that will be used as the blusher.they can be had for under 100 on ebay and etsy.
• can mantilla's be worn as drop veils?  I thought there was a difference in the shape or something
• yes, if it is oval with lace around.
• Sweet!  I thought it had to be a certain shape to be considered a drop.I'm so veil stupid.  Why does this have to be confusing?  lol
• It's confusing because veils are just as important as the dress, and we are just not used to putting layers of tulle on our heads!  My beau just told me last night that he wanted me to have a veil that he could lift over my head..  I've already bought a single tiered veil....  ARGH! Anyway, I am glad that the site helped, even if that particular link hasn't.
