Oh my gosh, ladies, I am getting so nervous here. I keep second guessing my dress decision, and would like some insight. First, some background information: Wedding Date #1 - June 26, 2010; Macon, GA Ceremony #2 - September 2010; Devon, England Desired feeling from wedding - Formal, dressed down a bit Me: 5'2", size 4, won't wear more than a 2" heel Groom: 5'11", need I say more? My normal style is very A-flowy in dresses, so when I went to try on dresses back in June, I was very surprised that I fell in love with a strapless full-tulle ballgown dress (Casablanca). The detailing is sweet, with very, very pale pink daisy appliques and a bit of crystal beading on the chest and at the very very bottom of the dress. I bought the dress that day, even though it was a size 8 and I am a size 4, figuring that I could have it altered. The more I plan, the more complicated things get. I keep thinking about that big ole tulle dress, wondering how on earth am I going to transfer it from here to the UK without hurting it? Plus, is it really worth the extra $500+ to have the dress taken in and also shortened? To make matters worse, I tried on the dress the other day at home... and felt bored. I wasn't excited, I didn't see anything special in myself.... I just felt weighted down. Still, I would look at those little daisy appliques, and I love them. I feel a little locked in at this point, but at the same time, I'm nervous about buying a dress I've never tried on. The town I live in is small, and I've not found anywhere even close that has the Alfred Angelo dress to try on. Do you think this is the nervous jitters, or do I have the nervous jitters because I am falling out of love with my dress? I guess I should mention, I did prom dress, but my mom decided to buy me the 2nd dress that I fell in love with as well, and I wound up being much happier in it. Unfortunately, though, I don't have my mom to turn to in this one because she's not so supportive of the wedding (yet). I'm her only child and am going to be moving myself and her only grandchild across the Atlantic Ocean. So it's touchy. Help, I need advice! *runs around frantically*
