Their tip is the fact that you paid hundreds of dollars more than what they bought the dress for. And the sales consultant? I guarantee you she gets commission. Take that into consideration.
No I didn't...and I actually have never heard of anyone doing anything other than possibly sending a thank you card...however considering the amount of $$ you probably spent they should send YOU a thank you card! My dress shop consultant did!
I think every bridal consultant gets commission they may need to make a quota but they still get commission and a heafty sized amount at that. Unless this consultant was extra amazing I don't really give them anything
It's her JOB to help you out when you're choosing a dress. She gets paid for doing her job. I can't imagine tipping a salesperson. Even if it is for a wedding dress. Sheesh: this whole tipping thing is out of control!
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
She's a saleswoman. This is her job and she is on commission. You wouldn't tip the person who helped you find shoes at Macy's. Tipping is not required or necessary. Write her a nice thank you note if you felt she went above and beyond.
She isn't just a salesperson at some big bridal place/department store. She owns the business and has been the person who helped me all the way. I just wasn't sure. But a card sounds like enough so thanks everyone.
