How to store dress after alterations

I haven't gotten my alterations done yet, will soon. But after it's all steamed, has the wrinkles out, and is ready to go... do you keep it in the bag? Or do you take it out and spread it open? I'll probably have 2-3 weeks between my last fitting and the wedding, so should if you're supposed to take it out and spread it open, is it ok to do this for that long?

I kept mine in the bag until about a week before the wedding and hung it up in an empty room to let it air out (any little wrinkles fall out).

BEST IS TO PICK YOUR DRESS UP A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE BIG DAY (IF YOU CAN WAIT) THIS WAY ITS FRESHLY PRESSED AND LESS PRONE TO WRINKES. KEEP IT HANGING UP HIGH ON A CLOSET FOR INSTANCE AND LET THE TRAIN DOWN. YOU WILL BE GOOD TO GO
