Cotton Bridal Party Dresses

I am looking for cotton dresses for my bridesmaids to wear in our wedding next fall.  I am pretty flexible on color, but I want them to be short and I am sick of all the chiffon/satin/taffeta materials.I really like the bridesmaid dresses that J Crew offers, but I don't know if I can justify forcing the girls to pay $225.00 for a cotton dress!Does anyone have any recommendations?

You can usually find J Crew dresses on sale at the end of the season, but you're not guaranteed anything.Have you looked at dept. stores? What about White House Black Market?

Just wait until the end of the season to get the JCrew dresses.  I would just keep checking back at them every so often.  I ended up finding my bridesmaid dresses for $80, plus free shipping and handling!!  They were $225 originally!  It's putzy, but the constant checking pays off!  Larger department stores often have really good sales too, check after the holidays for sales!  Good luck!

The dress that my girls all really liked and that we used as the model for the dress we ended up getting was a David's Bridal dress that is short, strapless and cotton sateen. It definitely looks/feels like cotton as opposed to satin. We looked for the same style in satin elsewhere, and found it, but it might be perfect for you. It's also under $200 each. There are PIB of the dress on my girls in different colors. It's on the website as well.

Yeah, I would recommend David's Bridal # 83312... its a cotton sateen and comes in quite a few colors. I think it's $135. This is what I think I'm going to end up choosing for my bridesmaids too!
