AW: First shopping attempt and I found my dress!

My wedding is a year from today. I'm in the process of losing weight and had NO intention of buying a dress until about January/February. However, my mom is visiting me this weekend and I wanted to take her dress shopping with me, since this is the only time we'll probably be able to go together.Well, the first dress I tried on, I bought (after trying on about 5 more). It's Aflred Angelo style 810 from the sapphire line:http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?style=810I'm a bit curvy and not to brag, but this dress looked rockin' on me! I got it in diamond white and I'm thinking I'll get silver accessories and shoes. It was a little more than I wanted to spend (oops) but my mom surprised me by telling me she'd make up the difference!My best friend might be disappointed I bought something already, but I'll model it for her when we go to look at bridesmaid dresses.

Oh, and I'm going to have straps put on it. I'm not that into strapless dresses since I have kind of wide shoulders. I'm thinking plain, 2 inch wide straps. They'll be removeable.

WOW, that dress is gorgeous! I really love it! Have you thought of adding cap sleeves to it, instead of straps. IMO, straps make wide shoulders look wider. Beautiful dress!I have pretty broad shoulders and found that dresses with straps definitely accentuated that.  So you might take that into consideration.

Thanks guys! I love that the dress is simple, without a lot of beading.Alfred Angelo has several styles of cap sleeves and straps. I'm working on toning up my arms, and my dress won't be here for 6 months, so I'll take a look at what they can do for me when the time comes!
