Low Cut

My dress is low cut in the front and even more so in the back (in a classy way)! Does anyone know a bra I could wear that's hidden but that is supportive? My last route is to have the bridal shop sew in a built in bra but that may be pricey...not sure...TIA!!

Re: Low Cut

  • there is a bra on davids bridal that is strapless and backless. Try going to Davids bridal and typing in backless strapless bra and see if anything comes up.

  • They make sticky bras (nu bra) and those are backless and can be attached in the front if you want.

  • Totally forgot about the sticky bras. Those are awesome as long as you arent too chesty I heard they work great if you are size a-c but if youre any larger they dont work very good.

  • Victoria's Secret also makes sticky bras that I've heard praised very highly.  You might try out various all-over shapers, some of them can be cut quite low.Having cups sewn in shouldn't be too terribly pricey.  You might have an independent seamstress do that rather than the bridal shop.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • See that's the thing...I'm a 34D so the sticky bras wont give me the support i need...I'll probably go and try several different ones on at VS..i tried this bra where the straps just go around the arm and is backless but that felt like i wasnt wearing a bra!....or just get underwire sewn in to make a built in bra.
  • You may also try looking for a custom corset.  It might be a bit pricey, but if it fits you well and provides you with decent support, you can probably continue to use it well after your wedding.

  • I think nu goes up to D but you have to be a small D. Don't be sad, it could be worse. I am a FF. No stickies for me, whah!
