Renting a wedding dress?

Has anyone thought of renting their wedding dress and can recommend any good resources?  I'm from NYC, are there any places in NYC that rents wedding dresses?

I highly doubt there's a place the rent dresses. Wedding dresses are hard to maintain that they're not easy to rent like tuxes. You could check out preownedweddingdresses.com where people sell their own dress, some used some never used...for a good deal.

People do actually rent their wedding dresses. My FMIL keeps telling me aobut a friend of hers that sold her dress back to the store for a rental. Jennietstang, I went to google and just typed new york wedding dress rental, and HOLY COW a ton of places popped up! I recomend trying that, and maybe finding one close to your house? Good luck...from that quick search, you have a lot to choose from!

Of course it is a possibility.  You can rent the high end gown of your dreams for a fraction of what you would pay to buy even a used gown.I live in Iowa and there are several places that offer gown rental.  Surely New York would offer many places.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
