Shower dress? PIP

I am starting to hate the shower dress I bought for my Sunday brunch shower my girls are throwing me. It's this Sunday and I need to decide quick. What do you think? Should I keep it or start looking again? It's a country themed summer shower in a rustic building so I tried to go with something "country". I also still need to accessorize it.

Go to modcloth.com awesome dresses at great prices. I'm getting my bridesmaid dresses there.

Consider if this dress is something you'd buy for yourself in general. Do you like the fit, style, and colors? If not, then return it and find something you like well enough to wear again.

If you like it, and you just need accessories, then because it's an all over print, keep the jewelry simple. The print is mainly coral with yellow accents, so maybe something in yellow to help bring it out more.

But I'd probably pick up the coral with the shoes.

I do not love the print. It feels a little matronly/older to me, that's just my personal opinion. I think it's a combination of both the size of the print and the colors. I really like the bodice, I think it's so pretty, and I like the shape, but it seems a little long.

All in all, I'm with Duds, is is something you'll wear again? I'll be honest this looks like something my mom or grandmother would think was a perfectly appropriate shower dress, and I might even buy it when I was with one of them, but then I'd start to hate it, wear it that one time, and then it would molder in the back of my closet until it went to Goodwill.

If it's this coming Sunday you probably don't have time to online order, but I would make a mall trip. I don't think that you need to dress for the location or get too theme-y with it.

If you don't love how you look/feel in it, then try to find something else.   Can you hang onto this dress until you decide?

Personally, I do much better with dresses when I can try them on.  Online shopping just doesn't do it for me -- I guess I have a skewed image of what my body looks like and can't really predict what dresses will look good on me based on photos on a website.  Plus, so much of it has to do with how you FEEL in clothing.  If you FEEL amazing, then you probably look awesome too:-)
