Jewelry Guidelines

I told my bridesmaids to wear whatever kind of jewelry they want, as long as it is simple and understated, because I do not wear a lot of jewelry myself. I trust my maids and they all have very nice taste. My mom insists I need to tell them what kind of jewelry to wear. They already picked out their own shoes and they all look fine.

As long as you trust your girls, I say not giving them "concrete" guidelines is fine. It will be cheaper for them to use something they already have.

I think you did the right thing.  Nobody will notice or care what jewelry the bridesmaids are wearing anyway.  It's nice to let them wear something that shows their personal taste and style, and might have personal meaning to them as well.  Your mom is wrong.
