What to wear UNDER dress?

I have a fairly fitted mermaid dress, and I am struggling with what to wear under the dress. I would like to wear spanx, but I would also like a corset bra, does it make sense to wear them both? My alterations start in 2 weeks and they can sew in non-padded cups, but I'd like a little more 'help' in the bra department. Any tips?

No, it really doesn't make sense to wear both, and I'd worry that a corset would leave visible lines under your very fitted dress.

You could have padded cups sewn in for more support--I did, and they looked and felt great.

My dress had a built in corset/bra and I loved it. But if it didn't have one, I would have definitely went with the built in cups. I am a bigger busted girl and need the support.

I would go with the spandex, it wont show lines like a corset would-- and the built in pads come in arrange of sizes, so you can get all the help you need.
