Purple bridesmaid dresses

I am planning a fall wedding for 2013. Our colors are silver and purple. I am going with floor length dresses for my bridesmaids, however I cant decide on whether I want them to all match or be different. If they are different, I can't decide if I want it to be all the same color or if I want it to be all different shades of purple. Can y'all post pictures of purple bridesmaids dresses to give me ideas. I like the idea of all different shades and patterns of purple, but I'm just affraid I might regret it

WOW , You have a great idea , but I advise you not to do that . You can choose the same color but in different style .

I know one website which sell all kind of the dresses and has many color . You can look throught it and try to find the dress style you all love .

We did purple and silver too, and floor length dresses.  I originally thought about doing different shades of purple, but didn't have enough bridesmaids for it not to look mismatched.  We went for a modern, clean look, and I thought the different shades might be to vintage-y for me.  Here we are:

I went with purple also, with lime as my accent color. Groomsmen wore lime green, I really thought it would look bad, but i took a chance, because I just had to be different...lol and everything looked great.

I to was going with Purple and Turquoise for my wedding colors but I wanna do something that no other bride has done. and that's let the bridesmaid pick their favorite color dress and the groomsmen have match the bridesmaid that they walk with but here are a few dresses that I had picked out for my original colors.

Thank you guys so much for shAring!!! Ya the groomsmen are going to be in silver and we are actually going with a kind of vintage yet classic look :

I chose the color, fabric and length.  The ladies chose their style. 
I'm getting married in Fall 2012, so after that, I can post pictures.  I
asked the ladies to pick their top 3 that way I could change things up if needed
(If everyone except one picked the same dress, one person was just going to have
to deal and vise versa, if two people picked the same dress- but everyone else
picked different ones, the first person to pick the dress would have gotten it,
etc. 

They picked David's Bridal styles and I've placed them in
this order:

EDIT:  I picked the fabric because I wanted the dresses to all look the same color.  David's satin looks lots different than the chiffon- at least in the wisteria color.
