Weird Question!

I'm going to be trying on dresses for the first time in a few weeks but I'm not really sure what undrgarments I should be wearing to do so.  I don't know if I need anything special or if a strapless bra will do for now.  Also, what shoes should I wear?  I clearly don't have wedding shoes yet so do I wear a heel or do flip flops work?

Haha, random questions I know!  But, I genuinely don't know what's appropriate!

Thank you!!

Not a weird question at all!  I think the strapless bra is good for now.  I've only gone twice & each time I just went with a strapless & no shoes & it worked out just fine.  And you'll be standing on the little box thing so you'll still get an idea of what the dress will look like when you have heels.  At this point you just want to figure out the style you like, (if you don't know already).  I just found my dress this past Saturday, so now I'm on the hunt for shoes & a waist cincher.  I'm having cups put into the dress so I won't need a bra.  Hope that helps & have fun!! = )

Definitely wear a strapless bra and full coverage underwear. The consultant will be helping you in and out of dresses, and chances are you don't want her seeing your sexiest underwear.
I didn't wear heels when I was trying on dresses. However, when I want back to order, I did bring heels in the height I planned to get my wedding shoes in. If you get a dress that can be hemmed at the bottom ordering it in the right length is less important, but because of the lace overlay on mine it couldn't be easily hemmed.

As PP's mentioned, bring a strapless that is comfortable for you and yes, full-coverage underwear. I chose to keep the bra/undies tan/nude color, but that was just me. Also, I brought a pair of hose with me b/c I wanted to see how the dress would fit with them on.  Have fun and good luck!

Where are you going.  At DB they provided bra, slip, and shoes.  Then of course they try to get you to buy them.

I went my first time with no idea what to expect.  I'm the first of my friends to get married.  I went to David's Bridal and they had a slip and bustier ready for me in the dressing room.  Maybe call ahead of time to see if the place has some for you to try on with the dresses?

Many places have strapless bras for you to use while trying on dresses.  I preferred to bring my own bra, however, because it kind of grossed me out using their bras.
