FI asked me to "be mindful" of my heel height when I shopped for wedding shoes. Of course, all of the ones I loved were 4 inches! I settled on some 2.75 in heels, which will make me the same height as him..........and probably more comfortable at the end of the day. Still love those 4in Badgely Mischkas though!
My FI is uncomfortable with me wearing high heels, and I personally wouldn't like it for pix anyway. I'm gonna either wear sparkly sandels or peep toe ballets and buy an inexpensive pair to do some photos with.

I agree. I don't know that mine would particularly care, but he's around 3" taller than me and I'm just not a fan of heels shorter than 3".
Being taller than him wasn't a huge consideriation in buying shoes, though that was a factor I kept in mind. I can't really wear heels anyways. Aside from hurting my back, I'm really klutzy and I'll just stagger around anyways. High on the amusement factor, but I'd like to be able to walk down the aisle without assistance. XD

I'm taller than my H when I'm barefoot, I wore flats. I wear heels all the time when we go out and I know he wouldn't have cared if I wore them for the wedding, I just didn't want to tower over him and everyone else.
I would HATE to be taller than my future hubby especially on our wedding day. I bought white ballet flats from Walmart. My feet won't be shown anyway and I want to be as comfortable as possible since I'll be on my feet literally all day!!
Though my fiance doesn't care on a day-to-day basis if I wear heels with him, he has told me before that he doesn't like when we are photographed together and I'm taller than him. I don't like it either. He is 5'9" and I'm 5'8". I found some very cute, dressy sandals at DSW that had next to no heel, so that's what I'll be wearing. I can't wear heels for extended periods of time anyways due to my horrible knees, so even if my fiance was 7' I still would have worn flats.
I'm only about 3 inches shorter than FI, he said he didn't care whether I was taller or not, but I didn't want to be taller than him in our wedding pictures, so I found a heel that was 2 1/2" tall. It's perfect.
FI is 6'4" and I'm just under 5'8" so I'd have to try really hard to be taller than him. But even if it was possible I wouldn't want to be taller than him. I'm wearing ballet shoes (like, actual ballet technique shoes) because I want to be comfortable during the long day.
Re: Will you wear heels even if it means being taller than your fiance?
I've picked 2 inch heels for the wedding. Men's dress shoes have a very small "heel" on them so he'll still be taller.
