so disapointed

I went to a bridal show yesterday and went to the booth of the reception location of our wedding to find out that our Sales/Wedding coordinator that we have been working with for about a year is NO LONGER THERE.  I have such mixed feelings, she was one reason why we felt so comfortable planning this.  She was very attentive and throuough.  Should I be nervous with the replacement?  Has this happened to any one?

I would schedule a meeting with the new coordinator, chances are they are just as good. You have 11 months until your wedding, it will be plenty of time for the new coordinator to be comfortable in the position. Also there is a good chance that they promoted someone that was already at the venue.

This happened to us as well.  The new coordinator turned out to be much better than the previous one that was at our venue.  I agree with PP schedule a meeting to get to know the new person.  Don't worry it'll all work out!!

Hey, was that the bridal show at the Radisson in Nashua?  (I was there).  I was pretty disappointed in the show--not much there, but enjoyed the fashion show.

yes i was a little shocked as well that there was not much there.  I did get to talk to some florist about ideas for my girls bouquets, so I guess that was worth us going.

Yes, we just got married there on 10/23. We received an email from the planner the Thursday before our wedding, letting us know that she would no longer be there. I was crushed! I loved working with her. We then found out that the new coordinator had already had plans for our wedding weekend so they were brining someone in from another location. I was a nervous wreck so our wedding party did all of the set up of the room. The day of there was some quirks but that you will run into no matter where you go. The food was great and they did seem to know what they were doing. I would just recommend staying on top of everything the closer you get to your wedding. OH, make sure everything you discuss along the way is in writing.

    Jess,
thank you so much for the advice.  I'm glad your day went off so well and you still have great things to say about it.  Thankfully I have everything so i'm going to email her to set up a time to meet.
