Question about pantyhose on wedding day

These are the shoes I'm wearing (Can't upload a photo for some reason) -

First off, I love wearing pantyhose for formal events, it really completes the look for me.

With this strappy sandal, would you go with the toeless pantyhose, normal pantyhose, or none at all? I definitely planned on being the whole package by wearing the sexy garter belt and corset, but having like 3 toes exposed is throwing me off! What do you think???

Also, my dress covers the shoes completely.

</div><div>Are you wearing a short wedding dress?  That is the only reason I could even think about wearing panty-hose.  I just had my first fitting and found myself getting hot under my dress and this in a well air-conditioned room.  I am not wearing any slip and my dress is fairly light. </div><div>
</div><div>To answer your question I think toeless panyhose would be fine with that shoe.

  • No one is going to see under your dress unless you lift it up to do a garter toss or something. I would go hose-less.  If you want to pretty up and put on your sexy garter and corset after the wedding, maybe just change in your honeymoon suite for your wedding night.

Unless your dress is short (like PP mentioned), it is going to be very warm under there.  I wouldn't add any fabric you don't have to have.

Seriously it is going to get so hot under there and hose will make it even moreso.

Save the garters and stuff for the HM. I will be honest most girls here will tell you keep it as simple as possible under there. Just panties and a bra are plenty. And keep in mind you have to deal with a dress and anything else to go to the bathroom.

Most people are so tired, sticky and icky but the end of the evening you will want to undress and clean up anyway.

  • I love hosiery, I am always too cool to be comfortable. If you don't think hose will be too warm, go with the toeless. I have seen a number of posts referring to how warm it can be under the weight of a wedding dress! Definitely keep that in mind from the wise words of PP

  • I did not wear pantyhose.  My dress was long and no one saw my legs.  We did not do a garter toss.

With a strappy sandal it makes me think you should definitely go hoseless, I always think hose in sandals looks bizarre.

Why do you want the garter belt and corset?  For the wedding night?  If so, just change into your wedding night lingerie after the day is done and you're back at the hotel.  You'll want to freshen up an shower before you get into any action anyways.
  • I'm doing thigh-high hose and a garter too. They're very thin and I feel lady-like in them. However, my shoes are cloed-toe, and I'm getting married in November when it will be chilly. You profile says February. so it wont be as hot as July.

I think I'd do a toe-less or something a little funky so it makes a statement if you do see it. Mine are White with tiny white polka dots and white lace trim at the top of the thighs.

I really wanted to wear a corset, but really I'll feel more comfy with just cups in my top. it's something to consider.

<div>I love the idea of something a little funky - I've seen thigh highs like that, love it!</div><div>
</div><div>A corset or bustier is a must for me - I'm not as thin as I used to be, a little extra in the middle :/ so I say screw comfort! I just want to look pretty.</div>

  • I think that pantyhose and open toe shoes look old ladyish and icky.

toeless pantyhose look strange to me. It seems weird that your legs have hose, and then suddenly your toes don't.

I'd skip it alltogether with those shoes.
