At least I think this is uncommon.
My dress is a slim A-line shape and has a semi-long train. I am in love with absolutely every other aspect of the gown, but I'm not 100% happy with these two details.
I already spoke with a seamstress, and she told me there's no problem shortening the train. My question to you ladies, and maybe you won't know, is if there is a way to slim the silhouette at all? I'll include the link for the dress. Would it make the gown look odd to bring it in a little closer to the body? I'm thinking more of a sheath shape.

Re: Uncommon alteration question
I had a similar issue with my gown: it was a size 10 and I was a 2--while my seamstress didn't change around the silouette, she had to take it in on all sides of the bodice. It can be done. But give yourself plenty of time for alterations.
It's not really a huge issue; I just see myself in a sheath and not an A-line. But thanks for all the votes, everyone. I guess I'll think about this some more.
[QUOTE]cute! I'm trying to decide if FI and I should do pics w/jerseys???

DO IT! I don't regret it for a second. I think they bring a level of fun to pictures that other outfits might not have. If it were up to me they would have been Husker jerseys but that was FI's outfit that he chose.
