Finding Tuxedos

My fiancee and I are in the process of renting tuxedos and it has become more difficult than we expected. All of the groomsmen live in different states, so we ideally need to rent from an international store. However, we were not impressed with Men's Wherehouse selection and prices. Any other ideas??

Thanks

Re: Finding Tuxedos

  • You can use a local tux place if you prefer.  All your guys have to do is get measured and then call in their measurements to your tux place.  Then they pick their tux up (and pay the balance) the day before your wedding.  Tuxes aren't like BM dresses where the person needs them in advance to get alterations done so ordering the tuxes locally will be fine.

  • Our wedding is not in the same state that we are in either, so that would also be difficult to do! We are living in Savannah, GA but our wedding is in Arizona where we both grew up and all of our families are.
  • ditto what maggie said; my FI did that for his cousins wedding and it was easy peasy.  Most stores will not charge them to get measured either.  Not sure if you looked at JosBank; I think they are pretty international too, but I think there pricing is similar to MW

Will you be going out to AZ at any point prior to the wedding?  If so I would research a few tux places out there that you could use.  Again the guys would need to pick their tuxes up most likely the day before your wedding becasue if they have to pick them up where they live and return them when they get back the costs will most likely increase becasue of the amount of time they need them for.

Have you looked into Davids Bridal?  They also rent out tuxedos.  I believe they have a store called Tux (not positive of the name) that they work with.

[QUOTE]International =/= national Unless you have GM in other countries a national chain should work just fine.

    <div>National is just fine. </div>
  • Apparently this chain is available online...

While finding that one I stumbled upon a lot of negative Men's Wearhouse comments...interesting.
  • Ok, thank you, I'll look into that. Yes, I have seen the same on Men's Wearhouse.<div>

  • <div>I'lll look into that Tux place too. I know that men's wearhouse is somehow affiliated with David's Bridal so I'm suprised that they have other options!</div><div>
