I've got the dress, got the shoes, got a great statement bracelet, and now I can't coose my other accessories! How did you choose your wedding jewelry?
I based it on the detail of the dress. Since my dress has lots of detail which includes beading and pearls ontop.I won't be wearing a necklace bc it would be too much since there is so much detail. I got a bracelet that has pearls and stones and I'm wearing drop pearl earrings.
I chose the same type of jewellery that I normally wear and picked much more glammed up versions. I bought really gorgeous chandelier earring and a sparkly hair comb (I'm not wearing a veil).
My dress has a very beaded, sweetheart neckline so a necklace would be distracting. Plus I don't really wear necklaces in my day-to-day life anyway. I thought about getting a bracelet but I had a really hard time finding one I liked enough and I've heard that they can snag the skirt of your dress.
I think if you have a statement piece, the rest of your accessories should be fairly simple. Maybe simple stud earrings and a dainty chain necklace, or a matching pearl set if it fits your tastes and the style you are going for.
I am still struggling with this also. I know that I am borrowing my mom's diamond earings as my something borrowed. A couple of years ago my FH gave me a bracelet that I wear everyday and I will be wearing that of course (I'm thinking that will be my something old, officially). As for the rest of my jewelry, I wanted a necklace that would match my dress, but I haven't found anything that wows me and I'm waiting until after my first dress fitting to decide. I have a couple of necklace ideas and I thought it would be good if I just brought something from home to the fitting to see if I like the style and then worry about finding something I love. My tiara is supposed to be my focal piece anyway. I am not wearing a veil, but I have a blinged out tiara that I love!

I also dislike bracelets, so no bracelet.
No necklace planned. I think the dress is pretty enough with all the beadwork on top.
No veil, but I wanted something nice in my hair, so I got a pretty bejeweled ribbon head band.
