Day-Of, Handbag/Clutch?

Is anyone going to be carrying a handbag or clutch the day of the wedding?
I feel like I need to (carry some lipgloss, hair pins, meds I have to take at dinner, etc.) ... I hate to throw it all onto someone else to carry?

If you are carrying one, where did you purchase it?

Re: Day-Of, Handbag/Clutch?

  • I didn't carry anything with me but we were staying at the location where the ceremony and reception were held (but I still didn't need anything).  The thought of touching up didn't even cross my mind the entire night.

  • I didn't carry anything--I mentioned to a BM that I planned to, and she looked at me like I had three heads before saying, "but we can carry everything you need in our purses".

So I handed over my lipstick to her, and aside from that, didn't need any touchups all night.
  • I bought a little white embroidered clutch at Target.

  • I will make my sister carry it - she is my MOH.  One less thing to buy.
  • Giving everything I need to my sister.
  • I've heard women say they put all kinds of thought and effort into the perfect bag and everything that went into it.........................and they never touched.  If you need to take medication at dinner I'd give it to your FI to hold for you.  He will definately be with you at dinner time.

If I do have one it will be the evening bag I've had for years.

  • Yeah, I was thinking just handing off my meds (I'm diabetic) to someone, but its an injection so I dont think FI would want to carry the needles in his pocket, ha ha.
Maybe my Mom can carry it in her bag lol
  • I would go with giving your stuff to your mom or MOH.  The only thing you should need to carry is your bouquet.

  • I would look for something that you can carry again, i.e. not white and formal.  I found a cute linen clutch with a ribbon on it and a flower in our wedding color on etsy for only $18, I know i will carry it again so it was worth it.  Plus, I don't know if you're crafty at all, but I'm sewing some very dainty silver bangles onto one corner so it can hang from my wrist as we travel about on that day.

  • I'm using a Coach clutch that I bought for multiple uses, not just for the wedding.  I don't need much for the evening, and that should hold all of it.
