Can you dye non dyeable shoes

I really like Paris hilton's spelled and Martinez Valero's Zenith. Both shoes don't come in red, but they do come in white. Unfortunately the white says "not dyeable". Can you dye the shoes anyways? I heard it just takes longer so most cobblers  won't take it on.  Anyone have any insight?

Most of the shoes that say not dyeable are actually treated with something that's meant to protect the white like a Scotch guard.  Those are specifically made to prevent staining, so trying to dye them can give you blotchy and uneven results.

I'd try the DIY board to see if anyone has been successful but I really doubt it - as PP said they're likely treated.

The only thing I can think of is strassing with red rhinestones.

They are treated to prevent stains so the dye will not work.
