Chucks

Okay okay i know many of you are so over the tux with chucks. But here is my question FH loves them and it is pretty much the only shoes he ever wears and wants his guys to wear them in the wedding. Granted they will all be brand new does it look tacky?

I think it's a cute way for him to put his personality into the whole deal. I'd say let him have it...chances are there are things that he wasn't so keen on that made it into the details, so I'd let him have that little thing.

I think Chucks are awesome.  Who cares if anyone else is doing it or not.  He should do it because he wants to not because other people are or aren't doing it.

FI was just in a wedding where the GM wore chucks.  I thought it was fun and was a way for the groom's personality to show.  I say go for it!

Totally go for!  Regardless of it being done before, it will make him happy and give your wedding some of his personality! It's a great idea!

We're doing that idea and I think it's a cool way to have a more casual, funky feel to the wedding.  By the way, I got chucks for the groomsmen for $28/each at Kohl's.  I have a charge card there and got a 30% off coupon, and they were on sale too!  Kohl's carries them and sometimes puts them on sale!

I think it's awesome! I am getting my lovely girls custom Vans (I *love* Vans shoes!) to wear for the reception. Why not be comfortable for all the dancing?

I think it actually looks cute! I know my FI only dresses up when he ABSOLUTELY needs to...he tried to wear flip-flips to his commands x-mas party (navy) which is a formal event so i might have to let him wear some kind of comfy shoes for our wedding lol.
    Its cute!

Sounds cute!  Hey my friend wants to wear PINK ones with her wedding dress..I think her mom talked her out of it but I'll see next Saturday if she is or not!  But she also wanted to walk down the isle to "welcome to the jungle"!  We went to ECU and at the old (and new) baseball there is this area called the jungle (standing room only unless you bring your own chair)..you used to be able to drink but not since they built the new staidum. Unfortunally for her she is gettting married in the Catholic church and that was a no-no.

    Have fun!

If it's what you and your FI want to do, then why does it matter if it's "been done"?  Do what makes you happy!

Definitely go for it! I'm putting groom and GMs in them. I'm sure it's been overdone in a lot of areas but who cares? I want a fun, laid back feel for the day so I think Chucks will be perfect! I don't think I'll have the guys in full tuxes though (outdoor wedding). I've considered bedazzling a pair for myself for the reception... Ya never know!

I think it'll be fine. My FI and his groomsmen are wearing Vans! (because it's ALL they wear, they're skateboarders.)

    Definitely not tacky.
