Too Dressy? PIP

I've found my dress. I haven't ordered it yet though because my mom says "It's dressy for what FI wants to wear. He's wanting to wear khaki dress pants, white or black dress shirt, a tie and his sperrys. That's perfectly ok with me as we're getting married on the beach.  Is the dress too dressy for what he wants to wear?

i think that because the lines are simple if you don't go crazy with accessories it could be fine,

I personally don't think it's too dressy at all, in fact I think it would look kind of perfect with the outfit FI wants to wear but that's just my opinion.

I think that dress is perfect for a beach wedding.

It's lovely! I think that particularly if you keep the accessories simply and classic it will be perfect for a beach wedding.

I've attended a wedding where the groom wore khakis and a white shirt...bride wore a similar dress but with a single strap.  I thought it was beautiful.  It was simple and defined their personalities. 

I like this dress.  It's very nice.  I think it would look great!

Totally appropriate.  The train is the only thing that isn't super beachy to me but if you like it go for it.  I wouldn't worry about FIs shoes...half the people at beach weddings wear flip flops or go barefoot.
