Dyeable Shoes?

I am having a hard time finding cute shoes in teal, so I am thinking about getting a pair of dyeable shoes. However, I have read that the dye is water-soluable. My wedding is outdoors and I am concerned that if the dye runs it will get on my dress. Thoughts on this?

I've got dyeable shoes too.  I actually just got them dyed - still need to pick them up anyways.... I have a short dress and told them that i really dont' want to have pink feet and they said that they usually don't run. But that they would dye them, put one coat of scotchguard on them let them dry for a day then put another coat on them.  So i'm hoping that my feet don't turn pink .... Sorry I really dont' ahve any other adivce but i did have a thread earlier and some people posted about having theirs dyed and no problems.  I guess I'm just hoping for the best since they were the only comfortable shoes i could find.  Sorry this probably wasn't much help, but Good Luck!

I was also concerned about the dye issue, because I wanted sapphire blue shoes.  If that runs it is going to be BRIGHT, but it's not like there are a lot of obnoxiously blue shoes out there.  I held out for a little and stalked endless.com and zappos.com, and after 3 months of searching, I eventually found the PERFECT shoes.

The time to order a dyeable pair of shoes to when you get them back colored can cover anywhere for 4 - 8 weeks depending on what route you go.  I'd say give yourself a 3 month cushion at the very least.  That gives you until the beginning of March to find your perfect shoe that already comes in teal.  When you hit that point, then you can decide if your worries about the dye outweigh your desire to have teal shoes.  If you find something before that, then it's not an issue!
