J Crew Alterations

Has anyone ordered their dress from J Crew and had them do the alterations? The dress is quite a bit too long for me and I know that hemming multiple layers can become expensive so I would like to have an idea of what I should expect to pay. 

If you had yours hemmed what did you pay?

I didn't have a Jcrew bridesmaid dress, but I did have one with 3 or 4 layers that had to to shortened.  It was $40 at a place called Stitch It.  A few of the other bridesmaids found independent seamstresses who did it for less though (wish they told me sooner! :P)
