Sample Sizes for a plus-sized bride?

Hi! 

I had a pretty traumatic experience this week at a store in MA at my first attempt at trying on dresses.  Ideally, I'd like to have at least one more option other than David's Bridals where I can try on sample dresses. 

I'm about to make a bunch of phone calls, but I figured I'd give posting this question here for anyone with personal experiences.

Does anyone know of a place in MA, preferably the north shore area but I will travel, that sells plus-size wedding gowns AND actually has samples that I can try on and not just hold them up to see what they may look like?

Sorry that happened to you. I freaked a little when I realized that the women working at the salons would be helping me dress, but they see all kinds. To answer your question, I'd try your local board. This one is international. But your idea about calling places is probably good. Asking what sizes they carry in the store is likely a common question.

If you have Alfred Angelo they should have them! Just know you're not alone on this....I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my dress since I've never actually had it on due to this!! You'll find your dress GL!
