Hello, I have been engaged since August 2009 and we are getting married next July 3, 2011....so I have been waiting a WHILE to shop for dresses. I am finally going July 24th but I had a question...
I REALLY wanted to try on a few dresses specifically, however I just contacted the Bridal Store and they don't have 3/4 in samples. The consultant said she could order them for me to try on, but I don't know how much they have to pay for samples or if they mind ordering them. My family owns a business and I do feel for the business side of things....do Bridal Shops mind ordering sample dresses knowing you may not buy them?
Re: Going Shopping need help!
Of the four shops I went to, none would order one unless I agreed to buy it. That makes the whole gown shopping thing such a gamble! I am like a size 12 or 14, and the gown I loved was a size 6 sample. There was no point in trying it on since I couldn't get one fat ham leg into it, so I just held it up to me and decided to take the chance. It might look either lovely or terrible in my size--I won't know til it arrives in Sept.! But an odd thing is that the shops have samples in all different sizes--so you might be in luck! They might have one gown in a sample size 10 and another in a 4, and another in 14.
Good luck--and let us know how it goes!
