Veil Question and Recommendations

I know I've seen this before on the knot but that was months ago...any good recommendations for online sites for veils. I'm only wearing it for the ceremony so I'm not looking to spend a lot of money.

Also what are the different types of veils? I definitely like the ribbon or cord edge (no birdcage) - but I'm confused on lengths and types?

Any advice / suggestions welcome!

Re: Veil Question and Recommendations

  • I'm still looking at getting my veil and what I've found for sites here:

    valuveil.com
etsy.com <---there are alot of great vendors, just be sure to look at feedback :-)

Also I'm looking into some local bridal consignment options.

There are a few articles here on the knot to get you started with types or selecting for your face shape, ect.

  • I made my veil for about $8.  I just had a simple, fingertip, raw edge, one layer veil made of bridal tulle attached to a metal comb.  I got all the supplies from JoAnn Fabrics.

If you can cut a curved line and do a running stitch with a needle and clear thread you can make a veil.

I found a pattern by doing a google search.

I got veil from the material of my dress and covered part of it with sparking things from here:
