Trunk Show

Hi ladies,

I'm going to my first trunk show this weekend and I was wondering what can I expect? Do salons typically give you a discount if you order your dress that day?

I just went to my first one this weekend.  It was very laidback.  They had all of the dresses in a separte room and they offered 15% off if purchased that day.

I went to a "trunk show" last week that was very disappointing. I guess it was not surprising because I was a bit disappointed with the service at this particular store when I'd gone there before.

A trunk show is supposed to show off a new collection by a certain designer. This one had about 6 dresses from La Sposa that were horribly ugly. I only went because I had seen quite a few dresses in the 2010 line that I liked, but these looked nothing like those ones.

They did, however, offer 10% off. Of ugly dresses.

But that's just my experience. I know plenty of girls who have bought their amazing dresses at trunk shows.

That's what I am afraid of! I've been getting very frustrated going from shop to shop because they carry a particular line...I get there and find that they only have one of each brand that I like. I am hoping that this trunk show will be better...
