Dress taken out?

Anyone have any experience with getting your dress taken out? I've gained weight (~10lbs) and I'm afraid that I'm not going to fit (nicely) into my dress by the time the big day comes! I still have a little over 2 months to lose the weight but I can't just hope for me to lose it and have enough time for alterations.

Unless you gained the 10lbs all in one spot, or your dress was skin tight before, you may still be ok. Note, MAY, not for sure. Make an appointment and talk to your seamstress.. they are amazing at creating options that will ensure you look stunning on your big day!

I gained 10 pounds after buying my dress in March.  At my first fitting last month the dress still fit, but I had a corset back so the helped.  It was the crinoline that almost didn't zip!  I'm trying to be very careful for the next 52 days...

Thanks everyone! I'm going to make an appt right away! The dress was fit me perfectly when I first got it but that was almost 2 years ago. The dress is a zip-up so I'm worried! Wish me luck!

Don't be worried. It's not a significant change; if they need to let it out I'd bet they can, and a zip-up back can be turned into a corset back -- but that's a worst case scenario.
