Troubles finding a dress

Hi  everyone, I'm having a terrible time finding a dress that I like.  I love the look of 3/4 length sleeves, but I don't want a train and I don't want to pay over $1000 for my dress.   I found from Pronovias, San Patrick from the 2008 collection the Bangor dress...I love it, but cannot find it anywhere, plus it has a train.  Any suggestions on where I should look for something similar or maybe where I can find that particular dress??

Have you found any other dresses that would be perfect if only they had the sleeves?

Sleeves should be an easy alteration for a good seamstress, or you could find a bolero to wear over the dress.

Nhelene's suggestion is a good one. You can also look at dresses with unadorned trains that would be easy for a seamstress to cut off.

i'm sure you can have trains cut off by a seamstress pretty easily too. most wedding dresses will have trains. just make sure the hem is pretty simple and doesn't have a lot of beading or lace or if may be difficult to cut off nicely.

You may want to try looking for "modest" dresses, many of these styles have short or 3/4 length sleeves.  Boleros are another good option. 

If you want a dress without a train (and to save some money!), have you looked at bridesmaid dresses in white or ivory?

Depending on the style of the dress, it can be very easy to cut a train off. Many designers/manufacturers off the option to add sleeves for a fee
