Jewelry???

Will off white pearl bracelets and yellow gold earrings clash?  My engagement ring and wedding band are white gold!  I think thats too much.  But my dress is champagne and shoes are gold.  What do you guys think?

Re: Jewelry???

  • I think you'd be best sticking to one type of metal and one type of stone.

If you're wearing your white gold e-ring and a pearl bracelet, you'd look best in coordinating earrings, either pearls or diamonds.  I wouldn't do a yellow gold earring.  But pearls or diamonds will pull your whole look together.
  • I agree- if everything else is white gold, I would probably stick with white gold/diamonds/pearls... which is classic.

That said, mixing metals is perfectly fine, so if what you love is that combo, go for it.
  • Why are you wearing the yellow gold earrings?

If it's ONLY to try and match with your shoes and dress, don't worry about it. Nobody will see your shoes and the wedding gown is considered neutral (for the most part). You're going to drive yourself nuts if you try and match every single thing in your wedding. Things only need to COORDINATE, not match.

If the yellow gold earrings have sentimental value, wear them if they make you happy. Nobody will notice.

I agree with PP - if the yellow gold earrings hold sentimental value, wear them and don't stress!  Unless you're holding your white gold e-ring up by your ears all night, I highly doubt anyone will notice.  But if there's not specific reason for wearing the yellow gold earrings, I'd go with something that you KNOW looks great and you're not second-guessing.

  • I wouldn't wear the yellow gold earrings.
