Bridesmaids pants suits?

I'm thinking I want my bridal party members to wear whatever they feel is most comfortable. I love the looks posted on this website of groups wearing dresses that are all the same "genre" of color. It will also help everyone have more control over their costs, I think!

In a totally unrelated conversation, my maid of honor has mentioned that she doesn't feel comfortable in a dress. She's since added she would wear a dress for me, but I want her to wear what she wants!

Any suggestions of a good place to get a bridesmaid pants outfit? I'd be nice for it to be a little more than just "a pants suit," but I'm pretty much in the exploration phase...

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Many bridesmaid designers also carry MOB lines in the same colors, and these often include options with pants.  Or, you could simply tell them to wear something blue (or whatever color) and let them find something suitable on their own, be it pants, skirt, or dress.  I simply told my girls to wear any black dress, and only one ended up with something from a bridal designer (which she found at a thrift store).  It doesn't need to be marketed as a bridesmaid dress to serve as one.

As a MOB, I am also toying with wearing some sort of pants/top/jacket.  My daughter is perfectly fine with it!  I noticed in your bio that it says you are marrying in October of 2011.  You might want to suggest to your MOH that after Thanksgiving, MANY stores will stock up with their holiday apparel, and much of  that includes dressy pants.  Many are made to look like skirts from far away.

As an aside, I have started to look myself.  I am on the shorter side (5'3") and have found that the wide leg from the hip down is not as flattering and tends to look matronly.  It takes a bit of patience, but you can find dressy evening pants that are a bit more fitted at the hip and thigh but then flare gently from the upper knee.
