I plan on attending a Tara Keely trunk show. I thought is was strange that it will be held at Macy's, but I don't know much about trunk shows. Any tips?.. or what to expect?
Maybe some helpful info:
I am interested in an '09 gown as well as new ones. Do they only bring their newest designs? Also, I am petite. Do you purchase a gown there and walk out with it to your own tailor or is it ordered? So many questions! hahah

Re: Tips for trunk show?
A trunk show is not a sample sale, meaning you don't purchase the gown and walk out with it. You purchase and order a gown like you typically would at any other time, but typically during a trunk show a discount is given if you purchase that day.
Finally, with a trunk show, usually the desinger is present to meet and talk with about the dresses.
If you find a dress that you love but aren't ready to buy ask the store you are going to if they typically carry it, if they don't then you either need to find another store that does or get your wallet out and purchase the dress right then and there.
As for you wanting to try on an '09 design, that may be a bit difficult to fine in bridal stores since bridal stores try to carry mostly up to date stock.
Everything Magige said plus there is *usually* a discount if you purchase that day.
Not going to lie to you, it's going to be REALLY hard to find an 09 dress. Your best bet is to show the designer the dress you're interested in and try on similar styles. A lot of times designers will update older styles as well as add completely new styles to their recent collections.
