What to wear under dress! HELP

I have an empire waist chiffon dress that had a button back. I am having the back converted to a corset back. I would like to wear the dress without the privacy panel but have no clue what is the right lingerie to wear underneath. I know that dresses that come with a corset back have the boning through it and is made to help keep you in and that helps alot but I need something to wear underneath. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Have you talked to your seamstress about possibly sewing cups into your dress?  This will also give you added support and shape.

How far down will the corset go?  You may want to make sure because if it goes really far your underwear may show.

I talk to your seamstress about sewing cups into your dress, that's what I'm doing. You could also look for a strapless or long-line bra.

Any bra will show if you're not using the modesty panel. As the PP said, make sure it doesn't go too low, or whatever is on the bottom will show. I'd go with nothing on top, maybe see if they can sew cups in (as others have suggested).

That is a great idea. The only thing I am worried about is I am not a tiny person lol. I am a size 16 and I just would hopefully like to get a some what of a smooth look. I'm not looking for something that is going to suck me in and make me uncomfortable. Thanks for all your help. I am looking into the cups now. Thanks
