Tips for getting into and out of cars

Hello Folks,
I was wondering if any of you had tips for getting into and out of cars without getting dresses dirty. My folks drive a Saab 900 hatchback for reference of height and size.
Thanks!

  • You'll figure it out. We played "stuff the bride and her big dress into a small car" for fun pictures. My dad drove me to our venue in my parents Lexus convertible. I made him put the top up after pics were done so that my hair wouldn't get messed up on the drive over. Have someone there to help you out of the car and lift up your dress as needed.

  • We bought some inexpensive clear, plastic shower liners/paint tarps.  We draped one across the seat of the car.  We draped another along the bottom frame of the door to ensure that no part of the dress would drag along any part of the door jam and risk oil or other dirt.

Ditto to this.  Make sure you have a photographer on hand, because it will be hilarious.

My photographer laughed really hard during the whole ordeal, and I love the pics.  Definitely have your FI or an attendant help you.
