Finding a dress in very little time!

I'm feeling a little bit frustrated this afternoon... I went to a local bridal shop here today and couldn't find anything at all. The salesperson just kind of showed me where the dresses were and walked off to play on the computer, so that didn't help either. But my fiancee just proposed to me 2 weeks ago, and we are planning a wedding for September, before we move out of the area. I am feeling discouraged with finding a dress after my experience today, and I also know I really don't have time to special order because the wedding is so soon. :( I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this problem, so how did you do it?

    Keep looking.  You could probably get a dress from David's Bridal in time ..  or just keep going to salons and see what you can find off th rack.  Call to salons ahead of time, tell them your situation and you need an off the rack dress and make an appointment.   Also, check out Macys and Nordstroms online... both have wedding dresses that can be ordered online and arrive pretty quickly.  they aren't big elaborate ball gowns, but they are beautiful.

    Can you look at a bridal consignment store?  Since I don't know where you live...I just googled bridal consignment stores in KY.

    Check some online sites.  Simply Bridal.com and outerinner.com offer custom made dresses with a quick turn around.  I didn't care for David's Bridal. All the dresses on display were dingy and staff treat you like a pariah if you don't have an appointment!

    Try a used dress.  You can actually get lucky and find one that fits your measurements.  Or find one that can easily be altered to your size.

    Buy online from David's Bridal, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, J Crew, Saks, etc.  They can get to your house quickly.

    Yes - I'm awared of this sale as well. Just grab a pair of nice shoes! lol Check'em out to see if you can find a nice wedding dress you like.

    I'm in western Kentucky near the tn border. We don't have bridal consignment near me that I can find so far.

    maybe you can have a look online first and see which styles you like, saves lots of time, there are lots of website that custom made dresses like 7foxmalll.com that have lots of styles and designs to choose. maybe you can startt from there
