This week I have been busy trying to accomplish the last few big checks on my list! I went to visit Colls Garden Center and believe she is going to be my florist - so YAY! I am using, peonies, garden roses, sweet pea, dahlia and hydrangea in ivory and shades of pink! I am excited to see it all come together.
My FI and myself went to look at tuxs we decided on Men's wearhouse Calvin Klein shadow stripe tux and my FI will have an ivory vest and tie. For the groomsmen we are torn between there "watermelon" vest color to match the bridesmaid dresses and/or silver vests which will match the BM shoes and other misc decor in the reception.... I am completely torn!! I feel the pink is too matchy matchy, but I feel the silver might loook a little too formal (its a 4p wedding) here is a pic of them both with the bridesmaid dresses (sorry if the pic quality is crappy)...thoughts?
Re: Check, Check (kind of) Florist and Tux! Input requested :)
Are you using Men's Warehouse where you live, or somewhere up in NH?
IMHO, I think the watermelon for the guys is a little too "matchy" as you say. I vote for the silver and it doesn't look too formal---it looks nice.
Congratulations!

2) I vote put your guys in black vests and make the ties watermelon. I think it will look sharp and not too matchy. I'm biased, though. We did the same for our GM (except it was purple, not pink).
ETA: PIP of how the BMs/GMs worked together
Thanks everyone for the input! I will def have to revisit men's wearhouse (I am using the one in MA near my house) I never even thought of doing black vests with pink ties, and I think it might be a great idea!
Marie -
I didn't end up going to Daffodils. I am awaiting my quote from Coll's by mail (from our meeting) and if its in budget I am good to go ahead with her. She was VERY helpful and said we could do everything I wanted and tweak here and there until 1 month up to the wedding! I only need a $100 deposit to lock in the date and I have to just make sure its paid before the wedding! JW but do you know any hair salons/make up places around the area, the only two I found were in Keene and pricey.
We had called a few places close to the area, (they WERE a bit pricey), but here's some local vendor whose information I kept:
James Thomas Salon & Spa, 83 Grove Street, Peterborough, NH
www.jamesthomassalon.com
Hair begins at $45 for very basic styling and goes up. Mirabella Makeup application is $25 and up.
Here's one for just makeup: European Esthetics, 16 Dublin Rd., Peterboro, NH
http://www.european-esthetics.com/Pages/makeup.html
They do 'airbrushed' makeup, and their appication prices start at $65.
Both of these locations are about a 25 minute ride from the Shattuck. Hope this helps.

Bonnie was great we had a teeny tiny flower budget and she worked with us. Just keep to your budget.
I used the Looking Glass in Rindge for my hair and make up and they were fantastic! They actually shut the whole salon down for us.
We had our RD at JP Stephens in Rindge and they were fantastic too. We only ended up having about 13 people at the RD (None of DH's family or the GM's went) and they didn't charge us a room rental fee and we could order off the menu.
Here is the link to my pics...we're under Jason and Marylyn password is Wamback. Just so you can see Bonnie's work and our make up if you're still looking for someone. http://tdoane.photobiz.com/cart/
