Soldering Rings

I just got my wedding band in, and I'm contemplating on whether to solder them or not... I'm a nurse, and part of me wants to just wear my band after the wedding.. but the other nurses on the floor wear both their wedding band and their engagement rings without much of a problem at all...I'm just terrified that I'm going to ruin my engagement ring

I would just try seeing how you like wearing them first.  If both rings drive you nuts then just wear the one.  If you get comfortable with both, then soldering defintely helps strengthen them.  You don't have to choose now or even right after the wedding.  You can do it whenever you want.

I didn't solder mine together because I wanted to keep the option of wearing one or both open.  I tend to do a lot of yard work and crafty things so I just wear my wedding band.  But when I go out with friends and for work I wear both.  It just really depends on what I am doing and what mood I am in.

Like PP said, I would just wait to see what you feel later on.

a lot of the nurses i work with wear theirs too, one recently lost her diamond. from story she told the diamond was a little bit loose and when she took her gloves off she lost it to the garbage, or solid linen bag, it was never found. Try it out and see how it feels, when i first got engaged i wore my ring to work and i did not like it because it always got caught on gloves and to me it was just annoying so i just started wearing a band. altimately its what you are comfortable with.

I would wear them separately at first and see how you feel. I always thought I was going to get mine soldered and then never got around to it. I do wear both all the time, but it doesn't bother me that they're separate. They fit well, so they stay together. If you decide to get them soldered, you can always do that down the road.

Thank you ladies I'll see how it works.. otherwise, I may just go to wearing the band at work.. wouldn't want to have an incedent of losing my stone in soiled linen! YUCK
