Shoes?!?

Hello!

I am in the process of looking for my wedding shoes (!!!) and am having some trouble.

I'm not really sure if I should go with a traditional ivory colored shoe or something else entirely. Our wedding colors are primarily black & white, and my dress is ivory. The wedding itself as well as the location have a pretty traditional feel, so I'm really not sure what to do.

Also, I'm in love with many of the styles of Badgley Mischka shoes, but because of how pricey they can get, I'm not sure if I should take the plunge & go with ivory or white when obviously I'd want to consider wearing them again.

I guess my overall reason behind this post is....HELP! I'm just not sure what to do. Ivory shoes or black? (Black shoes...would that be totally weird?) Or a different color all together....???!

(By the way, for anyone who's about to interrogate me about spending so much on a pair of shoes, I've done my homework & besides finding discounted options, my belief system is you get what you pay for! I understand spending $300 on a pair of shoes may seem ridiculous to some, but this is our wedding day & I love a quality shoe

I would day go with a black pair. That way you can wear them again. And no one will be able to see your feet anyway. I love shoes and have a problem with buying so many. I say its your day, get what you want, but I would go with a black pair

@jlocascio85 -- yeah, that's what I was kind of leaning towards....I also have some visions dancing in my head regarding the photos!! fun shots of our feet, or before the ceremony, etc.

Many brides go all out of their shoes, so if you can afford it, then spend whatever you want on them.

As for the color - I say go for a statement shoe!  I immediately thought of red.  If that's not really something you'd like, then maybe a sparkly shoe in gold or silver.  I don't think I would do black, as I don't associate a bride in any black, but that's just my opinion.

I bought a pair of Badgley Mischka's on sale..... they are grey in color so I will definitely wear them again.  They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever purchased (flats).  My dress is also Ivory..... I think you could pretty much pick any color - I feel that shoes are a very personal thing.  I would have a hard time spending 300 on a pair of shoes in a color I'll never wear again.

My colours are black, cream and gold so I bought gold shoes. My vote is always to buy shoes you'll wear again.

My Badgley Mischka wedding shoes were on sale for $59! They're a light pink so I'm hoping to wear them again.

I think statement color shoes are kind of "been there, done that" at this point. But since your colors are black and white and your dress is ivory, I'd go with a black shoe.

Also, regarding shoes, have you checked out Hey Lady shoes? I just received my pair last night and I am in LOVE with them. They are so comfortable, their customer service is amazing, and they have really beautiful shoes in the same prices range as your Badgley's.
