Very Low Backless Dress - IN NEED OF BRA/Corset

I have a very low keyhole dress I got from David's Bridal, both of their corsets come up to high in the back, I need it to be just at or below the small of my back.  I'm desperately looking for a VERY LOW Corset for the support on my big day.  Any suggestions are appreciated!

  • Are you just looking for chest support?  If so, have you considered having your seamstress sew in some cups?

I would also ask your seamstress (please use a private one because DB is way over priced and not that great) what she thinks you should do and if she can make any undergarment recommendations.

  • Thank you, I'm really looking for a corset for the posture/torso support.  I will talk to a local seamstress as well.  Thanks!

I think finding a very low back long line bra may be possible (Victoria Secret may be a good starting point), but that won't give you help with the posture/torso support you are looking for.  For posture/torso support the only corset that really will work is more on the traditional side that comes higher up the back.  The tightening around your midsection, waist and hips is what gives you that hourglass shape and good posture that I think you are looking for.

Definitley talk with your seamstress, I am sure they will be able to give you the best advice.

  • I agree, talk with your seamstress because I have looked high an low for a super low back bra/corset, but they just dont seem to exist since it sounds like your dress is pretty much backless. Maybe the seamstress can add in some boning into the dress for the support and structure.
  • what about a long line backless bra?
    Praying for a miracle!
  • I think the longlne bras are still too high,  this is my dress.  I found one on pinterest (shocking it actually took me to the designers link BUT I didn't pin it... and someone got to the computer and closed me out) It was a bodysuit that came just to the small of the back.

  • For all future backless dress brides... The Carmen by Ender Legard Corsetry... I'll be continuing my search as it cost as much as the dress!
